Become a Digital Navigator
Recruitment
The program is actively recruiting AmeriCorps service members to act as Digital Navigators. Service to the community will begin after recruitment.
What Will Members Do?
Members will work one on one with community members via appointments and drop-in help sessions. Members will help community members identify a digital literacy goal, then provide the digital skills training and tutoring needed for the community member to achieve said goal. Digital skills training can include a wide variety of activities such as helping individuals access and use social media, communicate using video with friends and family, apply for and/or update applications for public benefits, enroll in and/or participate in online training, using email, navigating the internet, accessing health information and services/ telehealth, using Microsoft Office and/ or Google applications, comfortability using and navigating a mobile device, and more. In addition, members will assist eligible community members with obtaining devices through the program.

- Digital Navigators work with people to build their awareness of and comfortability with digital activities such as; using Microsoft Word, 3D Printing, photo editing, checking emails, etc. If there is a digital skill you've been craving the opportunity to learn this is your chance. Learn so you can pass on knowledge to your community!
- Free Childcare for Full-time members depending on income eligibility.
Service Sites
Loveland Public Library is hosting the program for Larimer County and will serve as the home site for all members, with some members specifically serving at Loveland Public Library. Additional host sites and areas of service include:
- Red Feather Lakes Community Library in Red Feather Lakes, CO
- Estes Valley Library in Estes Park, CO
- Berthoud Community Library in Berthoud, CO
- Wellington Public Library in Wellington, CO
- Front Range Community College Larimer Campus in Fort Collins, CO
- Partner organizations in and around Loveland, CO
Individuals who reside or want to serve in Denver, Aurora, Boulder, Buena Vista, Centennial, Greeley, Lafayette, Lakewood, Pueblo, or Salida may be interested in applying to serve with The Learning Source and their partner Digital Navigator program through Serve Colorado.
