February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Alternatives to Violence and the library have partnered to bring a teen poetry contest to highlight the good and the bad of teen relationships! The winner will win a $200 Amazon gift card and read their poem at a celebration at Loveland Library on Thursday, February 29. Poets entering the contest must be 11-19 years of age, must live in Larimer County, and only one entry is allowed per person. Poems must be submitted in 12-point font and must be original unpublished poems in English but can be in any poetic style. Judging criteria includes the relevance to the theme and success of the poem. Email your submission as well as your full name, age, where you live, and contact information including phone number to johanna.tuttle@cityofloveland.org. Submission deadline is February 23.
