Waggin’ Tales
Waggin' Tales: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4-5 pm; Saturdays 1-2 pm (There will be a slight change on the Saturday schedules in the summer.) Join us to practice reading with a therapy dog! Come to the Children’s desk to sign up during or up to 30 minutes before the program. Sessions are around 15 minutes each and available on a first come, first served basis. This program is great for beginning readers, but all ages are welcome. All dogs and handlers are licensed by Alliance of Therapy Dogs or Therapy Dogs International. Tech Tuesdays
Every Tuesday 3-4 pm during the summer Drop in to play with some of our technology in the Children's Department every Tuesday, including three special edition sessions on June 18, June 25 and July 16 where you can earn your tech badge for the summer Reading Program.
Tinkercad: Kids Edition!
In this class, kids will begin learning how to make 3D models with Tinkercad, a cloud-based design application from Autodesk. By clicking, dragging, and resizing pre-made shapes, any design is made possible with Tinkercad's easy-to-use interface! After a short 30 minutes of instruction, kids can enjoy a full 90 minutes of free-design time where they can ask questions and finish a model for 3D printing. Finished designs can then be submitted for 3D printing.
