Boyz in the Hood and Devin Wright

Join the Loveland Public Library at the downtown MetroLux Theater every Tuesday evening in February to celebrate Black History Month. Admission for the event is a library card … hint: you can get a card at the theater if you don’t have one.

February 4 we will show Boyz in the Hood staring Cuba Gooding Jr and Laurence Fishburne  Devon Wright of Metro State University will explore the culture of Hip Hop before the film and answer questions afterwards.

February 11 – Amazing Grace: A documentary. Hazel Miller discusses the role of Soul and Blues Music.

February 18 – Soul Food.   Adrian Miller, Soul Food Scholar discusses history of African American food.

February 25 – Remember the Titans.  CSU football players talk about their experiences in sports.
