Library Playgroup is for ages 0-5 years old and their caregivers. We meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 10-11 am in the Gertrude Scott Meeting Room. We provide books, music and toys for a social hour for parents, caregivers and their children to hang out and play, socialize with other parents, and enjoy some non structured time together.

For ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Music and Movement is a program geared for those who love to move. Introduction to the musical notes, Solfege Scale with Kodaly hand signs, dance, movement and instrument play. We also have Instrument Show and Tell, so if you have an instrument at home, bring it along to class so we can see how it works, we won't expect you to play it, unless you want to!

Join us for a series of 4 films that look at the history of African Americans in America. Our first film is Selma. A discussion with Dr. George Stevens about his experience in the civil rights movement will accompany the film. The film chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965.
