Supplies needed: one set size 7, 10 inch knitting needles, 1 skein "Peaches and Cream" or "Sugar and Cream" cotton yarn, one metal darning needle, scissors.

Join the Library's tatting group to learn the lost art of tatting. Tatting is a technique for handcrafting a particularly durable lace constructed by a series of knots and loops, also know as "pearling" and "wrap weaving".
Tatting can be used to make lace edging as well as doilies, collars, necklaces, bracelets, and other decorative pieces.

Repetition is important at this age, so some of the songs and fingerplays we do are the same each week, to give the babies some familiarity with our activities.

Program for school aged children in grades 3, 4, and 5 every Thursday during the school year, beginning September 15th. Kids will be introduced to robots, participate in science experiments, get crazy with crafts, and much more! No registration required.

*Parents with younger children are encouraged to attend Thursday night storytime at 4:15.
