Symphony! Music Presentation and Lecture Series

Monday, October 9, 2017 -
6:30pm to 7:30pm

Oct 9 Barber Symphony 1
Get a preview here and then go to hear the Loveland Orchestra perform it on October 21. The harmonious chords and appealing melodies make this one of the most easy to listen to of the 20th century symphonies.

Nov 13 Borodin Symphony 2
Let this Russian composer take you on an aural expedition to Central Asia, with exotic melodies, brash chords, and lively dance-like sections.

Dec 11 Copland Symphony 3
The fourth movement theme is also played separately as “Fanfare for the Common Man,” and parts of it recur throughout the movement. The style is light and airy, often with only a few instruments playing at one time.

Registration is not required.
