Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: Challenges to Jim Crow

This presentation by Dr. George Stevens, of Loveland’s Martin Luther King Events Committee, looks at the battle waged against discrimination and segregation by Dr. King and other activists. He will also discuss Dr. King’s reliance upon nonviolence and efforts to alert the media to create federal government awareness. Dr. King used legal challenges and other strategies to communicate the plight of Negroes. A Discussion will follow Dr. Stevens’ talk.
