Join us for our 4th year celebrating this rich Mexican tradition.
Our 4th Annual Día de los Muertos event will feature art by Lupita Carrasco and José Guadalupe Posada, music at the Rialto Theater with the Manabí Salsa Band, and a day of celebration at the Library.

Lupita Carrasco was born an artist. At the age of four, she was already pouring out dreams and ideas onto paper. Lupita's vibrant Mexican culture and traditional Roman Catholic upbringing command a strong presence in her work. Her paintings are as rich in emotion as they are in color and detail.

José Guadalupe Posada

José Guadalupe Posada (Feb. 2, 1852 - Jan. 20, 1913) was a Mexican Political printmaker and engraver. His work has influenced many Latin American artists and cartoonists with its satirical acuteness and social engagement. He used skulls, calaberas, and bones to make political and cultural critiques. Prints from the University of Wyoming Art and Museum's Collection will be on display.
